In a remarkable display of initiative and student-centered service, GPSA International Relations Office (IRO) successfully organized a mass passport registration exercise from 4th to 7th February, 2025. The event took place at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and was open to all students across levels and disciplines.

Driven by the leadership of Master Michael Acheampong, and Master Delali Kwabla Agbemaka, the Association’s IRO and President, respectively, the four-day exercise sought to ease the process of acquiring a passport, a crucial document for students aspiring to pursue international academic, internship, and leadership opportunities.

Publicity for the event was rolled out in advance through strategic class announcements, digital flyers, and a Google form that allowed interested participants to register with ease. A WhatsApp platform was also created to enhance communication, providing registrants with real-time updates, directions, and support throughout the process.

The registration kicked off daily at 8:00 a.m. and ran through to 5:00 p.m., accommodating hundreds of students who responded enthusiastically to the call. The structured and professional approach ensured that the event remained organized and stress-free, a reflection of the thoughtful planning by the International Relations Committee.

This initiative reinforced GPSA-KNUST’s commitment to empowering students beyond the classroom, bridging the gap between academic life and global engagement. The success of the program stands as a testament to what can be achieved through dedication, foresight, and service-driven leadership.
