At The City Gate

At the city gate, a journey’s worn

Faded footprints tracing paths forlorn

Unsung chapters weave my destiny’s tale

Written by invisible hands, an unseen gale

My mind plays the rhythm, heart dances free

To the melody born of earth’s symphony

Weaned in the fabric of the womb’s dark night

Gazing at the shadows of this endless fight

Barricade behind the statelines, I stand

At crossroads of dreams and confusion’s land

Time flies, though wingless, swift and cold

No light at the tunnel’s end, yet I’m not alone

I trust the one who holds my hand

In darkness, I’ll follow, understand

I’ve given up the world’s fleeting thrall

For in His presence, I stand tall

He is my everything, my guiding star

My solace, my shelter, near and far

Phardazpiration
