This past Christmas season, GPSA-KNUST turned up the holiday spirit with a thrilling online challenge titled Claus in Crisis. This three-day virtual escape room event ran in December and spanned all major social media platforms — WhatsApp, X, and Instagram.
Designed to keep the GPSA community engaged during the festive season, Claus in Crisis was anything but ordinary. The event featured a series of mind-bending puzzles presented as “gates,” each more complex than the last. To win, participants had to crack at least two out of three “gates”: no easy feat!
The challenge began with The Frost Gate, which drew over 100 eager minds but yielded no victors. Undeterred, participants pressed on to The Shadowed Threshold, which saw 200 participants and several triumphant solvers. Finally came The Maze Lock, the trickiest of all which tested not just intelligence but endurance. Only one participant made it through.

At the end of this intense mental marathon, Mr. Michael N.K. Appiah of the Rx 26 class stood as the sole overall winner, having conquered two gates and earned himself a well-deserved cash prize of GHS 150.
Though the activity was hosted by GPSA-KNUST, its impact stretched far beyond, capturing the attention of students from across the PSFGh community. With 24 hours of planning and 3 days of continuous engagement, Claus in Crisis was a resounding success, combining fun, intellect, and digital connection during a season of celebration.
