The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) held its 59th Congregation from Tuesday 18th November to Saturday 29th November 2025, marking a major milestone in the academic journey of thousands of students. Six colleges participated in the ceremony, with graduates receiving Bachelor of Science and Doctorate degrees after successfully completing their four-year and six-year academic programs. A total of 17,132 students were conferred degrees this year: 14,764 undergraduates and 2,338 postgraduates.
This year’s congregation was particularly significant for the Rx25 cohort, who entered KNUST in 2019 and have now successfully completed their six-year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) programme. Dr. Antwi-Sarpong Kwaku emerged as the Valedictorian in the Doctor of Pharmacy program for 2025, earning well-deserved applause for his academic and professional excellence. The ceremony also featured Dr. Samuel Kofi Amoah Antwi, former President of the Ghana Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (GPSA–KNUST), who led the association during the 2023/2024 academic year.
The entire GPSA fraternity extends its warmest congratulations to Rx25 on successfully completing the rigorous PharmD journey. Through sleepless nights, completing various courses ranging from chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, pharmacy practice, pharmaceutics, writing numerous lab reports, successfully sailing through their grand White Coat Ceremony (WCC) and completing their 36 week clinical rotations, the Rx25 members can now be finally called DOCTORS
Congratulations Rx25!!
