The world whirls
The clock ticks
Seasons change
The clouds makes night out of day
Reminding us everyday that nothing stays forever
From the egg and seed we came
Dangling ourselves into this world of shame
Mama and Papa were the first words to say
Pure minds and innocent souls like Adam without his Eve
But nothing stays forever
Seasons changed and so did we
Through our youth we bustled with hysterics
Knowing that the world is ours and ours to conquer
Drunk from youthful exuberance, making vanity look like sanity
Mama and Papa, the first things we said became the last things we wanted to hear
But nothing stays forever
And every deed done will have a pay
“Time waits for no man”, we thought that was just a say
And before we could realize all our black turned into grey
Some friends turned into foes
Others left without a good bye
RIPs every now and then but we never truly rested in peace
For our past came back hunting us like a siege
But nothing stays here forever
And every beginning will surely have an end
One day when I become a memory
Sons of Adam and daughters of Eve, I want you to know that:
The world will keep on whirling
The clock will continue ticking
Seasons will keep changing
The clouds will make night of day
And nothing stays here forever
