OVERVIEW
The Lady Student Pharmacist Association of Ghana (LASPAG) serves as a vital platform for female pharmacy students to nurture their aspirations and professional goals. This dynamic organization fosters a collaborative environment where members can engage with one another, share experiences, and build a supportive network. In addition to connecting students with their peers, LASPAG also provides opportunities to interact with established professionals in the field. By facilitating mentorship and guidance, the association empowers its members to navigate their educational and career journeys with confidence. Through workshops, seminars, and networking events, LASPAG not only nurtures academic excellence but also promotes leadership and personal development among future female pharmacists in Ghana. The association, in collaboration with other committees of GPSA-KNUST, also organizes outreaches and seminars to not only educate its members, but the general populace on health-related issues affecting women. We’re looking forward to having you join us!

GOALS
The Lady Student Pharmacists’ Association of Ghana (LASPAG) is committed to:
- Empowering Female Pharmacy Students Equipping our members with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive in their academic and professional journeys.
- Promoting Gender Equality in Pharmacy Advocating for the rights, inclusion, and advancement of female pharmacy students within the pharmaceutical profession and society at large.
- Fostering Mentorship and Leadership Creating mentorship opportunities and nurturing leadership potential among young women in pharmacy.
- Advancing Public Health Through Outreach Engaging in health advocacy and community education, with a focus on women’s health, maternal care, and youth empowerment.
- Building Sisterhood and Support Networks Strengthening bonds among female student pharmacists across Ghana through collaboration, networking, and shared experiences.
OBJECTIVES
To achieve our goals, LASPAG strives to:
Organize seminars, workshops, and training sessions to support academic excellence and career development.
Raise awareness and provide platforms for dialogue on gender-based issues, including menstrual hygiene, sexual harassment, and equal opportunity.
Encourage female participation in student governance, leadership, and professional forums.
Collaborate with health organizations, NGOs, and community groups to promote public health initiatives and social impact projects.
Recognize and celebrate outstanding achievements of female student pharmacists in leadership, innovation, and service
