The PSFGH DSC 2023 took place from the 24th of October to the 28th of October in Cape Coast at the University of Cape Coast (UCC). The 4-day program saw hundreds of students from all the Pharmacy Schools in Ghana in attendance.

The conference was well attended with a delegation from GPSA-KNUST ably led by our President, Master Samuel Kofi Amoah Antwi, General Secretary, Miss Ewuraba Nyamekye Akutter, Treasurer, Master Leo Owusu Nketia, Public Relations Officer, Albert Nana Kobina Yalley, and International Relations Officer, Miss Priscilla Nweatena Buadi.


The program featured an opening ceremony which was well attended by the top brass of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana, the Food and Drugs Authority, with PSGH president, Pharm Dr. Samuel Kow Donkor, as the thematic speaker. The occasion was also graced with the presence of the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North Constituency, Hon. Kwamena Minta Nyarku. Subsequently, a general meeting was held as a forum to discuss and deliberate on all matters in relation to the federation as well as the local PSAs.


Community and School Assemblies were held with students engaging members of society on the theme, “Transforming health through responsible use of medicines toward a better nation and building stronger futures.” A tour was organized to the Department of Entomology, UCC and Animal farms, UCC and also to the Kakum National Park.


The conference ended on the 28th of October with various delegations departing the conference grounds.
