Following the just ended More Than Pink October Breast Cancer Awareness celebration, GPSA- KNUST engages in yet another equally important crusade against antimicrobial resistance which has at the moment become a global emergency. It was a week-long program riddled with insightful activities from the 18th to the 24th of November. Credit goes to the GPSA Health Committee and International Relations Office for overseeing the events that unfolded.

From the 18th-23rd there was flyer publicity on what AMR is, emergence and spread of AMR, common viral infections in which we wrongly use antibiotics, causes of AMR and effect of AMR, respectively. The Association clinched the crusade with a panel discussion on google meet held on Friday, 24th November, 2023 at 5: 30 GMT. The highly anticipated webinar was on the theme; “The Blue Couch: An AMR Conversation”. The discussion was moderated by Priscilla Nweatena Buadi, the International Relations Officer of GPSA-KNUST, Ghana and Keumouo Ulrich, CEPHARM Uds, Cameroon.
