On 18th November 2025, GPSA-KNUST proudly celebrated two remarkable women whose leadership and devotion continue to elevate our profession. Citations of Appreciation were presented to Prof. Mariam El Boakye-Gyasi, LAPAG National Chairperson, and Dr. Evelyn Asante-Kwatia, LAPAG National Treasurer, for their outstanding contributions to the Pink Power Breast Cancer Campaign.


The ceremony was more than a formal presentation; it was a heartfelt acknowledgement of the passion, strength, and advocacy these two icons consistently embody. Their involvement was instrumental in driving the campaign’s message of early detection, empowerment, and hope to women across communities.


Prof. El Boakye-Gyasi was applauded for her visionary leadership and eloquent voice, which amplified the campaign’s reach and inspired countless participants. Her dedication has long been a guiding light for the profession, and the Pink Power initiative was no exception.
