The GPSA Media Committee is the official media body of the Ghana Pharmaceutical Students’ Association in KNUST. It operates under the principles of Pharmedia Ghana for which reason it adopts the alias “Pharmedia”. The mission of the committee is to uphold the image of the Pharmacy profession by being a reputable and representative face for the profession right from the student level, with the vision of creating a nationwide awareness of the existence of the Doctor of Pharmacy programme and the role of a pharmacist in the healthcare system using the media as a relevant tool.
The GPSA Media Committee has three wings which manage different aspects of media; the Gong Team, the Photography Wing, and the Social Media Team. The Gong team acts as the informants responsible for public speaking, interviews, script writing, and event emceeing, among others. The Photography team deals with the photography and videography needs as requested by the committee. The Social Media team runs all the social media accounts of the association on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat and YouTube (@gpsa_knust), as well as the provision of social media content. The committee works hard to provide informative and educative content for the student body as it collaborates with the other committees of GPSA.
