On January 17, 2025, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences held an orientation for the newly admitted Rx30 batch of students. The orientation served as a platform to introduce the class to the pharmacy program and get them acclimatized to the environment in which their academic journey would take place.
The event kicked off at midday with lecturers seated on the stage, facing the freshmen. The executives of GPSA were introduced to them, after which the lecturers of the various departments of the faculty introduced themselves to the new class. Following this, the freshers were shown around the faculty to familiarize themselves with the environment and the facilities that are available to them during their stay in pharmacy school.

After the tour, the lecturers took turns to formally welcome the freshers and exposed them to some codes of conduct expected of them as pharmacy students. They were groomed on the appropriate style of dressing, respectful behavior, and personal safety on campus. Several lecturers spoke about the importance of discipline and time management as inevitable tools required for students to excel. There was a session for students to ask questions, which were gracefully answered by the experienced lecturers.

The PharmOrg committee aided in sharing refreshments to the students to create an inviting and cozy atmosphere. The event was crowned with group photographs of the newly admitted students and the faculty lecturers. The orientation turned out to be a wonderful experience for the students and laid the foundation for a great academic journey ahead.
