In a vibrant display of athleticism, unity, and healthy competition, the GPSA Sports Committee successfully hosted the 2025 edition of the Rx Mini Gala, led by Master Cobbinah Johnson Abuasi.  Held on March 15th at the Kotei Astroturf, this year’s tournament was exclusively a football showdown drawing enthusiastic participation from across all year groups.

A total of 120 players competed, grouped into six teams representing the classes Rx25 through to Rx30. With each team fielding at least seventeen players and a couple of coaches, the atmosphere was charged with excitement. The side-lines were lined with enthusiastic supporters from the GPSA student body, whose cheers added to the vibrant energy of the day.

Kicking off at noon, the matches spanned a six-hour period filled with intense action, thrilling goals, and unforgettable moments. After a competitive series of games, Rx25 emerged victorious, defeating Rx30 in a thrilling final match that crowned them champions of the tournament.

Despite a few challenges that the organizers acknowledge that they faced, generally speaking,  the 2025 edition of the Rx Mini Gala was a resounding success and has once again proven that GPSA-KNUST is not only a hub of academic excellence but also a vibrant community that thrives on unity, teamwork, and shared experiences. With the bar now set even higher, anticipation for the next edition is already building.
